UV C photopolymerization unit and DNA sequencer
Developed photopolymerization unit firmware to deliver uniform and controlled dosage of ultraviolet ‘C’ radiation using feedback from sensors. Performed electrical design including fluorescent ballast control.
Revised electrical design using off-the-shelf instrumentation amplifiers to integrate photo-luminescence signals in femto-amperes. The existing design using custom semiconductor integrators offered a very low yield. Successfully achieved a mixed-signal board layout to isolate the small signal sensing from high power switching.
Supported and diagnosed critical failure in manufacturing-testing due to the proximity of high voltage (for electrophoresis) to buffer solution.
